If you're in the mood for a delightful parfait, the Green Tea Parfait (¥1,250) features layers of creamy matcha ice cream, sweetened chestnuts, and chewy mochi, making it a symphony of textures and flavors.

Fans of cheesecakes will revel in the Cheese Cake (¥800), boasting a velvety texture topped with fresh whipped cream. Alternatively, indulge in the Matcha Affogato (¥800), where rich vanilla ice cream meets a warm pour of high-quality matcha—an exceptional balance of temperatures and flavors.

As for beverages, CHANIWA shines with its offerings. The Japanese Matcha (¥900) is a beautiful cup brewed to perfection, while the Soba Tea Latte (¥900) delivers unique flavor notes from carefully sourced ingredients, setting it apart from ordinary lattes. The Roasted Green Tea Latte (¥900), made from beans roasted by a certified tea master, offers a rich, aromatic experience that lingers on the palate.

Staff is so friendly even though we struggled with Japanese. The desserts were so good and the atmosphere was so calming. And staff even came out to help us take photos. Will come back again.

Awesome temple in one of the fanciest place in Osaka city! There was an event held by a local government from Nara, and I took my 13-month baby with me. The temple has a cafe right after you go through the entrance. The red benches were amazingly beautiful in the Japanese garden and there were some people remotely working using the wifi. I was a bit worried after having my daughter waking up and toddling around the garden and in the cafe, but the staff there were all so kind to the toddler who was enjoying her adventure there. The bathroom was super clean, no stinky old Japanese toilet! Honestly, some temples are not welcoming to mommies with babies in strollers, or toddlers toddling around touching everything. This temple has care and love for us moms and kids. Feel free to bring in your kiddos and enjoy the cafe as well as the temple itself and the garden among there!! Oh, and one last thing, there is a park with play ground equipments for kids around 2-6. It’s called “Horie Koen” , Koen meaning park. #easy with strollers #wifi #super clean bathroom with western-style toilet #Osaka city #Yotsubashi station #Horie park

A 10/10! We were shopping on Orange Street and craved dessert. We ordered two dessert sets that came with complimentary drinks. The matcha (without) milk was the best, perfect for those who appreciate pure matcha! The desserts were all well-presented, service was efficient; you feel like you’re transported into a Japanese house, savoring homemade treats. What an amazing experience!

What a great little cafe right in a heart of Horie. Joined Japanese incense workshop there and tasted green tea mixed with roasted brown rice. The cafe is in an actual temple (Manpuku-ji) and you can actually take a look inside as well. Japanese garden there is beautiful and you can have a sit down and enjoy the moment of serenity in the hustle and bustle of Osaka. They have great Japanese deserts as well and I will definetely try them next time when I'm in the area. Price is reasonable too. Highly recommended if you want to try the authentic Japanese tea experience in Osaka.

This place is expensive for dessert, but worth it if you like matcha. I especially recommend it if you don’t like matcha, as this might change your mind. The matcha is not bitter and has a great aroma. Regret not buying their matcha powder.

My husband and I stumbled upon this cozy cafe on a rainy day in June 2023, and we instantly fell in love with it. We ordered matcha, orange juice, and a dessert, and it was the perfect combination. We had the place to ourselves, which made the experience even more special. Sitting there, listening to the rain and enjoying our treats, was so relaxing. It quickly became one of my favorite cafes in Osaka!
